Got Books Today! Here's a Shipping Timeline

Hi Shannara Readers,
Today was the day! I received books. Finally. After all of this time. Here are some photos of the limited editions:
Here is our timeline. I have the books. Tomorrow and Friday, the shipping supplies will arrive. Then Hunter, Terry's grandson, is going to come over on Tuesday and we'll discuss how best to tackle this. We'll make boxes. We'll tear bubble-wrap. We'll get going on it.
That said, there is one part of this that will still take some time. The Trade Edition books are not yet signed. Terry is planning on signing them September 26th through September 28th. That means the pledges that contain those books won't ship until after that. I also hope to have him sign copies of Daughter of Darkness then. A lot of signing but Terry is super excited to do it.

Clamshells and Slipcases Shipping To Me

Hi All,
A short update here. The company responsible for producing the clamshells and slipcases have finished their work and those items are speeding to my warehouse. Yay!
Still awaiting word about the finished books. They were supposed to be finished August 26th. But I do know they are close because on August 22nd they asked for approval on the foil stamping for the various editions. I'll post those photos below so you can see a part of the process. When I receive word the books have shipped on their pallets, I'll update again!

An Update That's Not An Update

Hi Shannara Fans,
Someone asked for an update for the delivery of The Scions of Shannara and Indomitable.
There is nothing new to report though. This update is the same as the last one. I expect books to be finished at the bindery in late August and those books should arrive to my warehouse around September 10th or so. Then I'll begin shipping out all books and merch.
I can't wait for that. Meanwhile, Lixin Yin has turned the cover art for The Druid of Shannara. It's pretttteee. We will reveal it when the Kickstarter launches later this year.

Bindery Sent Me An Estimate For Binding Schedule

Hi Shannara Backers,
I'll keep this short and sweet since it is an easy update!
The book blocks for Scions and Indomitable are printed, and they went to the bindery. And the bindery has received them and put us into their binding queue for August 29th. That means finished books should be shipping to us around that date and, within 10 days, I should have the books in the warehouse to start shipping. Finally, a real date!
Well, what does this do for The Druid of Shannara Kickstarter? Terry still feels pretty strongly about doing that Kickstarter once I've shipped out Scions and Indomitable. So I'm thinking October might be a good time to do that Kickstarter.
And on the Druid front of things, we've hired our artist. Lixin Yin will be completing the dust jacket and interior artwork. Terry and I are both stunned and excited that we managed to work with Lixin. He's done wonderful work for a long time and he's worked with many of the biggest names in pop culture art creation. He's already begun work to be wrapped up by the time the Kickstarter begins.
Terry also asked me to express his thanks for being so patient. Scions has taken a lot longer than we thought it would when we started planning this. So thank you ALL!

PS: Some people ordered the Scions coin sets separately from their pledges. I have shipped those out. And I'm waiting on a big surprise to show up before I ship out the Simonetti portfolios. More on that very soon. Stay tuned!
SCIONS Proofs Arrived & Approved

One step closer. The printer sent me proofs for Scions that arrived on Wednesday. As luck would have it, Terry came over yesterday so we went over the proofs. Everything looks great. Proofs approved. The printer will now do their job, get the book blocks to the bindery, and the bindery will throw it into their binding queue. When I have a completion date for that, I will share the date! Because in essence, when the bindery is finished, the books head my way for shipping!
